The story Forever Mine: (Inspirational Romantic Suspense) (The Lake Shores Series Book 4) by Aimee Martin is a mystery/suspense/inspirational/romance book. This is the love story of Blake Thompson and Kellina McDonald. Both Blake and Kellina are trying to forget their past. Blake from heartache and loss and Kellina from an abusive relationship. They both find each other in Lake Shores, Texas. They both realize that there something pulling them toward each other, will they follow this force to guide them and fall in love or will they let their wounded hearts keep them apart?
What an awesome story! This is a book that will have you from the first chapter and won’t let go until the final page. The main part of the story is how Blake and Kellina are trying to overcome their past so that they can have a future. The other part is how there is an evil that is working to make sure this couple never has a happy ending. The book also deals with two different sensitive subjects. One is domestic abuse and the other is coping with death. Both subjects are written about compassionately and with great care. I can’t say enough about how I love the main characters. Blake is a man that has determined that he will never love again, too much pain. It is amazing to watch his transformation when he meets Kellina. Kellina is a woman that is determined to never let herself or her daughter be hurt again. She has the support of her father and works at his business. She has made it her mission to get Blake to open up to her. Then there is Gracie, Kellina’s five-year-old daughter. She is such a sweetheart. She is wide-eyed and always has a question. She completely wraps Blake around her finger. This is an inspirational story so there are many references to God and the scriptures. It is done in a way that gives guidance and helps with the character’s decision making. I found it very refreshing. I would highly recommend this book if you love romance with a little bit of mystery and suspense involved. A perfect read to get lost in for the afternoon. This book does contain mild adult language and mild adult situations. It would be for readers 18 years or older.

This story will pull you in from the first page and you will need to see what happens next. This story will have you sitting on the edge of your seating just waiting to see what will happen on the next page. You will love how these characters relate to each other and you will find yourself relating to them. Find out what happens with the past and secrets!
Kellina McDonald is a woman who is use to heartbreak. She has picked up her daughter and moved to the town of Lake Shores to find a new start. She is running from a past but can she keep running? Then she meets him. He has eyes the color of emeralds, black hair and sexy. Looking into his eyes, she knew there was a challenge to be had. She has been abused, determined to protect her and her daughters heart, will be break through?
Blake Thompson is a man who is all to familiar with loss. He has been a man of few words and even few friends. He is not looking for a relationship as he won't go through that heartbreak again. He has filled his days with work and horses that is until he meets her. She is feisty, red hair and with a sexy body. Will she break his isolation that he has built around him?
Kellina and Blake's relationship is one where both have their own pasts and have been hurt. One has been abused and one has lost a loved one. Together you will love how they connect and how the author has used scriptures to help guide them through their decisions. What happens when her past starts to collide with her current life? Will it put them in danger? Will they struggle with more then just their feelings they are starting to have for each other? What will fate have in store for these two? Are they meant to have a life together or will the past put a stop to it?
This is my first story by Aimee Martin and it won't be the last for me. Aimee currently lives with her husband, their three children and a few barnyard animals. She is a stay at home mom that occasionally works as a nurse. Her stories are meant to leave you warm and fuzzy inside while reading about love while feeling the struggles that everyone faces everyday. This author has created a story that will pull at your heart strings and you will feel what they are feeling. You will love how this story will have you turning page after page while losing yourself in this story. I highly suggest this story as I know you will love reading page after page like I have.
I was fortunate to read an advanced copy, but have purchased my own. This is the fourth and last book in the Lake Shore series. I won't give anything away because it's just that good.
The series ends with a bang, not a whimper.
I have enjoyed all of Aimee's books, but I think this was the best so far.
